Chapter one- A banishment before birth

Two alpha's stand in the center of there territory. the light rain that was falling around them made there white fur glow in the green grassy background. From the shadows a grey wolf's constant yellow Gaze flares at them.

The smaller of the two the female alpha turned to her mate, "our pups will be strong like you Daemon."

the larger wolf the alpha male looked at his mate and nodded, "and shall be strong like there mother as well." Daemon responded softly. Daemon nuzzled the she-wolf's neck, "Come Akasha, we shall rest in the den tonight."

Akasha nodded and followed Daemon to a small burrow, in the ground. Inside the burrow smelled muskie, but it was dry and warm. Akasha entered the den and turned so she laid against the far wall of the den, Akasha loved how this den was, small, only big enough for two fully grown wolves, and up to nine pups to grow in. Akasha sighed and closed her eyes resting her head on her paws. Daemon entered the den shortly after Akasha was settled inside. he watched over his mate proudly.

Outside the den the Grey wolf approched the den and sat down, "Daemon, I've returned from Patrol."

Daemon Nuzzled his mate and licked her eyes,"sleep Akasha I will return in a moment."

Nodding Akasha curled up and rested, she wasn't to terribly far in her pregnacy, only about half way. her belly was just beganing to show.

Daemon stood up and walked outside to where the grey wolf was then spoke softly, " Ah, Judd welcome back from patrol, tell me what you and the others found."

Judd the grey wolf stood, "We found a rival wolf, he told us of how you truely became alpha here daemon. Now we want the truth of how you and Akasha became alpha's here." the grey male remaind calm but his eyes never left his alpha's a sure sign that it was an act of agression between the beta male and the alpha male.

Daemon sat down remaining calm but his normally caring eyes turned to a feirce gaze as he glared back at Judd, "I'll tell you, I attacked the alpha here, though I was young. The alpha male treated me as though I was nothing more than a rabbit, letting all the pups younger than me jump all over me, telling me not to ever play with them. one day when I was nearly a year old I had enough. and rather than play with the pups I attacked them. Sadly I killed them all. When the alpha male found out he attacked me. And so i countered and using my fangs I killed the old fool in a single blow. So I then took the role of alpha and banished the alpha's mate, Fay and the others from this territory for ever. only Akasha Stayed by my side. since she too  Felt the unfairness of the alpha's before us."

Judd's fur rose on his hunches, and he growled lowly and signaled for the others to suround Daemon. The pack did as Judd signaled and surounded Daemon. Judd then softly but agressivly challanged Daemon for the leadership. this challange was to the death.

Daemon stood up he looked at his once loyal pack and growled snapping at each wolf in turn and glared at Judd, "so this is my thanks for taking you all in and giving a territory to hunt in?" Daemon walked around Judd and was now ready to the challange, "I accept your challange Judd, but should you loose itll be more than your rank, you will too loose your life."  at the end of Daemon's words he lundged at Judd taking Judd's back paw in his jaws and snapping hard on it. Judd snarled and turned his white fangs flashed and peirced deep into Daemon's neck.  The fight raged for almost an hour.

Daemon glared at Judd his fangs bloody and his growl growing weaker, Judd's Fang's too were beared and he snarled at Daemon, Judd lowered his body and his ears, Daemon lundged, but Judd found the opening he had been looking for, for nearly an hour and lundged himself, taking Daemon's throat in his jaws, Judd snarled and crushed Daemon's windpipe and dropped him, the wolves howled for Judd's victory. Judd then moved over to the den and signaled for the pack to dig out the alpha female.

Akasha unknowning was dug out of her den and pushed down before Judd. Akasha looked up at Judd, "What are you doing Judd this is Daemon's pack not yours you cant order the others around like that!" one female wolf pushed Akasha's mouth shut. Akasha's eyes look around and see Daemon's body bloody and beaten, remaining unmoving her eyes begain to water.

Judd Glared down at Akasha then lowered his body down and whispered, "It would be a shame to loose both alpha's in one blow. Join me and become my mate, and I'll let you live here with us still Akasha. If you choose not to be come my mate, then females here will fight you for alpha, even though you are pregnate they will not go easy on you. After a alpha female is desided we will banish you."

Akasha Glared at Judd but still being pinned down by the members of her pack she couldn't sink her fangs into his soft flesh. She inturn growled lowly at Judd and spat at him, "I'd never mate to a beta wolf!" Judd just sneared at her and moved away and sat down.

The female who had pinned down Akasha's muzzle backed up and nodded to the others. Judd inturn nodded and smiled, "let the fight for alpha female take place, she-wolf Ash the Omega female take your place and prepair for your fight." Judd appeared to be having fun tormenting Akasha, the rest of the wolves all took possitions around the females and watched. Judd then continued his speach, "If the omega should fail the next she wolf will be Ann, should Ann fail then the next shall be, Mika and should Mika fail then the shewolf delta of our former pack, Kiss shall take Mika's place then should Kiss fall the beta female, Jen will take her place and should Jen fail then I will pass judgement on all females." he smirked at Akasha as if saying I like my new role as alpha male.

Ash snarled at Akasha and lowered her body down ready to fight. Ash was a light grey she wolf scrawny in terms of the wolves of the pack but her fangs and claws just as deadly as all wolves of the pack. Ash lundged and so the fight comenced. Akasha Pinned down Ash within five minutes. though as soon as Ash was pinned down Ann took into the fight. Ann was a tanish shewolf and was concidered the lure in the hunt. Ann can take a hit harder than any other wolf in the pack and to Akasha was one of the most agressive she-wolves. Akasha's and Ann's fight took nearly half an hour, But Akasha stood victorious. Ann laying on herside out of breath. The next she wolf who came into the fight was Mika a yearling, Mika was a pup the pack had found and taken in her fur was a glossy white and she stood infount of her former alpha. Mika didn't want tofight and it was plan on her face.  Akasha just barely pinned down Mika and whispered to her, "Just play as if your hurt or sick." Mika hearing her alpha's coman whimpered loudly and did end up thowing up. akasha backed away from Mika and Glared at judd, "Mika is to sick to particupate." Judd nodded and signaled for Kiss to attack insted.

Kiss's fur was a rusty red and her fangs were sharp. Akasha and Kiss were almost identical in there fighting ablity, Though Kiss wasn't pregnate and didn't care if she went all out, though Akasha had to take more heed due to her unborn. Kiss pinned down Akasha and bit her belly hard. Akasha's eyes went wide. Kiss was trying to Take Akasha's unborn first.
Akasha lundged and took Kiss in her jaws, and so the fight raged for nearly the entire day and into the rising of the moon.

After the fight Akasha stood her body bleeding all over, her ear torn, she was having a hard time, for something was happing that shouldn't be happing. And she couldn't believe it was happing this soon. Her eyes were wide as she clenched her teeth together. thinking about it. She looked around. Judd was standing up and came to Akasha, "do you still not wish to be my mate Akasha? we could keep you safe when your pups come due." Judd's eyes were narrowed on Akasha's pain filled face.

Akasha glared up at Judd and went to lundge but her contractions stopped her. Judd seeing the reaction turned to the pack and signaled for them all to chase Akasha out of the territory. Judd went over to Kiss and licked her, he had choosen his mate. and both Kiss and Judd went off to do what the new alpha's need to do to make the pack stable.

Akasha's former pack circled around her and snapped at her. Akasha got up and ran. her constractions coming faster. once she passed the Territory markers she looked back to see her former pack members snarling and snapping at the air.Akasha lowered her head and limpped forward, she found a burrow that hadn't been used in ages and smelled of fox but it would be a safe place to give birth to her unknown. slowly she entered the den and lay down. She gave birth to 5 of the unborn who all were to small to survive the birthing. Akasha's muzzle was rested between her paws as the last pup came. she turned to clean it for her instints told her too, even though her mind told her that this last pup too would be dead.  But to her surprise the pup wiggled when being cleaned up and Akasha's face burned hot with tears of joy. No pups born eairly ever survived, and she found this pup to be vary special and so she desided on the name right then and there, "Jewel." she cooed softly to the solid white pup and moved her to her teet so the pup could suckle.

Even though Jewel wasn't as big as most pups born, she was fully developed and had been last born, the one thing that possibly saved her life durring the fight. Jewel was the only pup tucked close enough to Akasha's chest that when Kiss attacked her fangs never pressed down near Jewel. Weather the world saw it as a merical or a fluke of luck Akasha didn't care she Had hope now for Daemon's spirit would live on as would her own with this single pup.

Moons seemed to pass and Jewel became stronger, Akasha taught Jewel everything she needed to know about the pants and the prey she could catch and hunt on her own. Jewel was a fast learner and found that being near her noble mother made her feel safe. But on a moonless night Akasha pushed Jewel into the bushes and nuzzled her, "I love you Jewel but you must stay here. there are creatures known as two legs in the forest tonight with there hounds. I will return to you When everything is safe." Akasha ran into the forest and Jewel whimpered as she watched her mother disappear.  Jewel had only been a month not yet old enough to feed on raw meet let alone catch it. Jewel was alone and knew so when an echoing bang sounded around her. Jewel's ears pulled back and she stayed where she was.

Soon a deer with three legs approched the bush the pup was sleeping in. the deer had just lost her offspring and was feeling rather badly about it, she had lost her leg in a fight with a bear to protect her calf but now she was feeling as if nothing in the world would bring her joy again. as she grazed on the bush it startled Jewel and Jewel burst from the bush and whimpered. she looked around trying tosee if her mother had returned. Alas no her mother had not. the deer startled and turned to run. but stopped when she realized the pup wasn't a threat. Jewel looked at the dear's wound and whimpered at the deer. "momma said that moss help draw ifetchion out." the pup whimpered, she hadn't learned that deer was a prey item. so she treated the deer as if she were a wolf like herself.

the deer looked at her missing leg then to the pup and understood the pup too was alone and so the deer laid down. "come and feed little one, and tell me what has happened to your mother."

Jewel's hunger took over her and she swiftly moved to the deer and suckled, after her belly was full she laid her head between her paws and spoke softly, "mommy said twolegs and hounds were in forest."

the deer's ears perked forward as she remembered seeing a white wolf flea for her life only to be shot down. the deer gently cleaned the little pup's head. knowing the pups mother would not return the deer desided this was her chance to care for a calf again and choose to mother the little pup beside her.

Upon the day Jewel reached two months the deer nuzzled the she wolf pup and explained why she took in the little pup. Yet the deers sad voice too told the pup that she was not a deer but a wolf, and wolves hunt deer such as herself.  Jewel was speachless "But why would a wolf hunt a deer who has help save the life of another wolf?" Jewel just didn't understand the reasoning behind wolves but the deer informed the pup to go and seek a pack of wolves and she would understand. though before the deer and the pup would leave there own ways the deer slept next to the pup once more in a patch of pure white snow.

Sleeping soundly the  deer rose and left, leaving the pup who was born premature but has grown to look like any pup two months of age alone.
