Death
Dreaded
By mankind,
Morbid but real,
Slowly suffocates
Reason's domination
Over the human psyche.
Replacing logic with terror,
Rendering all the noble aspects
Of our collective soul in carnal ways.
We should not reside in terminal
Mental prisons, ignoring and
Discounting the apparent
Surrounding elegance
That richly infuses
Every distinct
Sweet fiber
Of our
Life.

Great work!!!!!! I personally do not like this type format it seems to take something away from the poems true message, at least for me... It is a pretty poem to view. Good luck in the contest!!!!!!
