i can feel your pain with in me,
and i can tell you i love you and everything will be okay.

sitting and listening hoping that it will help you,
and then i can tell you that i love you and everything will be okay.

everyday its easy to say those words of comfort and help.
giving you hope and a friend to lean on no matter what.

laying wide awake when i should be sleeping and just wondering if you are okay.
sitting with you in a dark corner until you can leave the horrid place.

holding your hand where ever you stand, i wait for your time of peace.
you cry while leaning on my shoulder and i wished that i could do more.

wish it was easy to make you feel better about everything around you.
wish it was easy to let you see how beautiful the world can truly be.

if i could i would take rainbows out of my pocket and make you world more colorful.
if i could i would reach into your heart and mend the broken parts.

but if it was easy and if i could do everything, you wouldn't need me.
though it may seem i want you always to be in pain, i don't.

i try everything in my power and will to let you see,
but, i can see that you are in too much pain to open your eyes.

so i do what i can do....
i feel your pain, i listen, i hold your hand, and,
hope with my heart that this will be enough to bring your beautiful smile back into this world.
