She crossed the bridge
After climbing the ridge.
Here the young lass could be found
She and her wares.
Selling her treasures here and there.
Hand made trinkets
Jewelry and ring-o-lets
The maiden went from town to town.
Beaded head crowns with brackets oval and round.
For many a years
Her treasures so dear.
Most valued from around.
A maiden from the past
Now sends out her young lasses.
From across the bridge
After climbing the ridge.
The pair can be found.
What Mothers and daugters now wear.
Selling their treasures here and there.
