Back to tomorrow
Fly to yesterday
When all our troubles
Seemed so far away
No more drama
No more hurt
Just blocks
Crayons, Barbies and dress up
Years before pain
makeup
breakups
boyfreinds
girlfriends
dating and hating
Back to tomorrow
fly to yeaterday
play with mommy's makeup
Want to be superstar, want to change the world
Come back to today
Where all of our troubles
Are close at hand
Where pain rules
Back to tomorrow
Fly to yesterday
Play with imaginary friends
Become a princess waiting for her prince
Where drama was someone stole your crayon
Where mommy would kiss thoses booboos
go back to those wonderful innocent day
Back to tomorrow
Fly to yesterday
Author notes
I don't really know where this came from. I guess it just seems that lives are now filled with drama that I felt like I needed a reminder what being a little kid was like. I think we all do.
Please tell me what you think

leigh this is awesome!! I love the analogies (metaphors, maybe similes??) that you make. "when drama was when someone stole your crayon." and the rhyming of "dating and hating" is awesome. sometimes I feel like this too. nice job

My comment is the exact same as Lise's so I'm not going to say much here
(thanks lise!) But it was a great poem, and you're right.
