Shadowed in moonlight,
petals gently descend
shielding the man
hidden behind folded truths.
Innocence forgotten;
Kept in time,
by ticking of an egotistical clock
echoing off the wings
of a passing hummingbird.
Hear sounds around you;
whispering flutter dampened
however soft by falling leaves.
His touch captures transparent light,
escaping your arm from grasp;
flowers grow in the wake
beneath the surface,
cracking the mask
as forever is tossed aside.
