Seek Not.

Seek not what you may find.

Dark are the pools of Nemesis
drowning consciousness
in moments
that taste sweet
and glutton on retribution.

Of gods was I created
in coupled moments
that cried vengeance
and were heard.

Of shadows do I walk
pressing closer yet closer
unnoticed.
Unlocking doorways
to souls.

As you cry my name
that crawls across festered lips
you will know me.

Seek not what you may find.

For it seeks you.

I read this poem first since it wasn't a prewrite, and I was not disappointed. This was an excellent write, and I am honored to have it in my contest! I think this already made finalist.

  • Wow! This is just amazing! Shows true depth of thought and one of the best I have read of yours!
