Within This Room

Within this bed our souls were revealed
Passionate kisses and gentle fingers
Spoke more than words ever could.
The world outside disappeared
When we closed and locked the door
And then there was only us
With loves insatiable desire
Burning within our hearts.
Shedding our clothes
Like the way we shed our inhibitions and fears
Till we are standing before each other,
Naked and innocent
Ready to see the limits of our passion.
Wanting to create a memory that will last forever,
To live out some hidden fantasy
That had never been spoken of, but always imagined.

Now that the moment is over,
We lay within these tangled sheets
Arms entwined around each other.
Bodies sweaty and spent,
As we hold each other so tight.
Her head resting on my chest,
Listening to the welcoming sound of my heartbeat
As it speaks out to her.
My hand moving up and down her back,
As I try to think of the words to say.
But nothing does come to my mind,
For this moment isn’t about words but emotions
This becomes like a riot in the heart,
That nothing can truly stop.
The only thing that my lips can utter
Are three simple little words, said so much from everyone.
I LOVE YOU.
But even that seems never to be enough
To begin to describe all the affection and devotion
Which I do feel for her.

Within the silence of this room
We have devoted ourselves to each other,
Creating a bond so strong
That neither man nor the heavens above
Could ever break us apart.
Light shadows of the room begin to grow darker,
As we lay there in each others arms
Speaking of that which is so content within our hearts.
Our lips caress in soft tender kisses,
As we are enveloped within the emotions this moment brings.
Feeling the urge to tell her how
I want us never to leave this place,
To never return back to the real world
Filled with its injustice and cruelty.
She tells me that would be a wonderful thing
But we can not hide from the world forever,
And that this love we share
Will always be strong and grow within us each moment of the day.

Within this room we expressed our love,
Embracing all the pleasures that our hearts did so yearn to bestow,
While making us see that our love is strong enough to face this world
And all that we fear within our mind.
I never forgot that moment with her,
Or any other moment which I spent with her.
Even now as I speak these words
She is looking upon with that same sparkle in her eyes
As the day I asked her to be my wife.
I know that there are many more memories we will share,
As time goes on and we grow closer and closer together.
But within that room….within that moment….
We had found a paradise all our own.
Away from the prying eyes of society
And their forked tongue comments, so quickly to be dispensed.
No politics, no war, no economic troubles for us to worry about in that moment,
Only two young lovers
Finding a moment to be together
And express all that their hearts do long to reveal.
For in the end
Love between two people is more important and stronger
Than anything that can be found.
So let the world say what it may about us,
And may they choke upon those words
For they know nothing of the truth.
All that matters to me is the woman I love,
My Lady, My Juliet….my everything
And within that room I proved what my heart does feel for her,
And shall continue to….for all eternity.
