I’ve seen a purple cow my friend
Though I wouldn’t shout it loudly
I’ve seen it on my nightly jaunts
Of this I am so proudly
As I walk home I see her pass
I stagger As I greet her
I chat a bit and stagger on
So glad that I could meet her
Though I wouldn’t shout it loudly
I’ve seen it on my nightly jaunts
Of this I am so proudly
As I walk home I see her pass
I stagger As I greet her
I chat a bit and stagger on
So glad that I could meet her

You shouldn't drink that brand of beer
Which ever one you're drinking
It makes your vision rather queer
And clearly clouds your thinking

Thank you so much.

This is one of the best in the contest, in my opinion. I like how you showed us you were drunk, instead of telling us.

Thanks, mate. Your lovely words are so much appreciated.

Some nights you would.
Some nights you wouldn't.

some nights you shouldn't.
Great write.

She looks like a happy purple cow, eating daisies and awaiting your chat. Very cute and creative my friend.

Best of luck in the contest.

Superb
What were you drinking that night??? This reminds me of my poem: "Delirium Tremens"!! lol Here's a link if you would care to read it: http://allpoetry.com/poem/2865562 Thanks for the chuckles.
By the way: Do purple cows eat purple people?
Or is that reserved for the "One eyed; one horned Flying Purple People Eaters?"
Here's a video link for the above song:

You are such a character! I shall get to that one of yours shortly cause I definately want to read. Need to catch up here first. I have that ong in my 45 collection. I am in the process of putting them all on cd...all 1200 of them. I love 60's and 70's music. Thanks for reading. Need any, let me know.

How did cows get purple?
From eating purple sage, of course!
I like this a lot. Good luck!

You have a very ripe sense of humor and I love it! Thank you. It's not the best but I took your advice cause I trust your senses.

A pretty good effort here. Line 4 of the first stanza needs a bit of editing but overall I like it very much.

-
-
Thanks, Bob. It is not the best, I know, but I think with a bit more effort later, I can fix it, especially that fourth line in the forst stanza. Greatly appreciated.
