The spaces in my cupboards
have me painfully aware
there's almost nothing there
but I don't even care.
Because when all is said and done
I thrill to wake each day
and truthfully can say
life's great in every way.
Embarrassments of riches make me
feel unworthiness
though everything's a mess
I live in blessedness.
Perhaps I am a wastrel,
doesn't bug me in the least.
I shall not join the beast
in superficial feast.
For I've a source of sustenance
that's more nutritional
and always keeps me full;
love unconditional.
A source of health and wealth
that's truly redistributive,
the more of it I give,
the more I truly live.
So take from me what e'er you want
I'll still have all I need
for I am truly freed
and destined to succeed.

PROMP: I KNOW GOD LOVES ME, EVEN THOUGH...
Even though I am destined to actions no one here understands.

This was beautifully written, as always.
The rhyme was perfect, and the story line good.
Who says you can't live on love, ?
Thank you for entering.

Let me tell you, you've hit the nail on the head...and I just adore your last line...destined to succeed, how can one miss?
