Can't Help It

After all that happened here,

Now I think it’s clear.

I never considered your feeling,

I never thought you were so willing.

I didn’t think someone like me would be loved,

And never realized ‘til now, that you always have.

Now I couldn’t be happier!

So I thank God for that during my prayer.

Unfortunately, realizing that just now was a little too late,

Because fate just came, then I was full of hate.

I hated the fact that I was so numb.

And all those times I probably looked so dumb.

If only I realized that earlier.

If I did, I bet I would be merrier.

Fate came and told me that “me and her couldn’t be.”

And the reason hurts badly.

You told me not to worry,

But somehow it always gets into me, so I’m sorry.

I wish this fate could be changed even just a bit,

Because, it makes me cry and I just CAN’T HELP IT.
