your just so quite
makes me feel,
like the world is whispering about me
behind my back
and i am alone
in the snow as it drifts around me
with my black coat, too thin to offer any real warmth
and no gloves
and no hat
and not one hand to hold in mine
not one hug to close around me
not one love to call my own
when you are just so quite
that the static on the phone sounds like rain falling
when the song stops playing and you hear
that click as the tape is playing
over and over and over
on nothing
and i am laying on my bed, one teddy bear in my arms
just me and my bear
listening to you on the telephone, breathing
not saying a thing
Author notes

awesome write
I like how you say what it's about in your AN but like you bring it out in such a different way in your poem... I've never read a poem like this before the style is simply amazing!!
