Everybody's Irish

Every body's Irish
on Saint Paddy's day
It matters not just who you are
you're Irish just the same
You can't be just part Irish
tis like being slightly dead
Takes over the every bit of you
once nestled in your head
As celebrations deepen
with rye whiskey and green beer
To the old sod you will stand and toast
For Erin raise a cheer
But come the dawn remember
You are really Dutch
When asked if you would like a drink
You'll likely say not much
Thats when the blood reveals itself
You are no Irishman
For any son of Ireland
Takes every drink he can

What did you think

Thanks for the giggle. I haven't had green beer in at least 20 years - the memories. A great Paddy's Day poem.

Yes, and I am a tenor. Another favorite Irish song of mine is Minstrel boy. Do you know that song?

I recall that on many a visit to Dublin I have sampled the wares offered both by the local hostelries and the friendly tarts.

Yes, we Irish take great pride in our tarts, and our other attractions. We exercise our tarts frequently to keep them in top form.
      Thank you for your patronage.
