At last the rift is opening,
rainbows erupt into being,
moving, seeking to touch,
alive with joyous speech!
Holding on to each other,
blinded by beauty's array,
stepping forward into arms
that wrap us with delight..
This then, is our first step,
into our galaxy's distant core,
our first meeting, greeting,
it is more then we deserve..
Ushered into crystal cities,
prisms of colors yet unknown,
drowned in pools of radiance,
swept into seas of welcome..
A feeling of utter acceptance,
of knowing a true belonging,
mankind has reached the stars
to find we have simply come home..
