Wow the image that you paint with your words is one of emotional pain. intense sadness. I have a suggestion about the 2nd stanza last line.. instead of using "but" in the beginning, wouldn't it sound better if you used "Now".. only a suggestion, and I maybe wrong it may not sound right.. but at the moment it does to me..
I really like the last two lines. this poem is just incredible. you did an outstanding job with this prompt.
