I see him (almost in my mind)
Ah he treats me like a princess,
savouring the first dance together, his strong shoulders hold me safely.
I'm not so fussed by the look, the physical but he is patient and doesn't presume, doesn't push.
His smile brings light into my world,
his eyes sparkle when i'm around-
He is so gentle, but so strong,
he doesn't let me sink into a pit of despair-
he pushes me forward, encourages me to persevere.
He brings me gifts, not neccesarily of expense,
but ones he knows will touch my heart.
We go on adventures together and seek the broken hearted and lonely,
we make sure we are respectful of singles in our church and in the public-
we don't make out in public, though at times we sneak a kiss or two when nobodys looking.
He has such a strong vision for the church, such a clear idea of what God wants of him,
He loves to lead, loves to sing and loves to serve.
He speaks of going to a small community to serve an unreached people that need Gods love desparately.
he doesn't always know what to do, but knows that God is faithful and will show us what to do.
He doesn't want to look proud, he's so humble and is a little uncomfortable of praise, but has such a passion for people.
He loves children and they love him,
but he won't pressure me into having children of our own.
He gives me hope when i'm at my worst.
He lets me have alone time when i need it.
He is not afraid because he is so intimate with God, perfect love casts out all fear.
He is so protective of me, but always challenges me.
He puts God first.
