Fields Of Long Gone Prescence

I whisper to you
of the ache that is forever deep inside,
but the tall swaying grasses
hold empty sighs.

I hear nothing from you anymore,
except a small bush of wild daisies
that once wove a crown of love.

I am cold,
but the sun beats heavily,
unable to thaw this icy feeling
where I have had to freeze
little memories of you,
to survive.

Yet existence is not enough,
when one has been promised
fields of forever.

Just maybe
the time has come to join you,
but I'm scared.

Your breath is silent
across time and space
where you pledged to reach out to me.

And the swaying grasses
hold their secrets,
as I scream to the sky
of my despair and loneliness.

I have been there, I am sure every one of us has, you create such magic with your words, even in the depth of despair where this one came from. Outstanding. Best to you in the contest
