I
All I seek is love;
in searching, my heart sank in
the midst of the storm.
II
No boat can hold hearts
filled to the brim with sorrow -
no sailing today.
III
What was one time ours
washes seaward with the tide;
broken shells and hearts.
IV
Love lost in the clouds:
etchings of my heart lines now
vanish from my palms.
V
The water clock drips;
old men and women drown in
lost love's stream of death.
VI
The full moon pauses
behind black clouds; I pass through
into dead of night.
VII
Cats foretell my fate -
the time has come for me to
die - their gaze kills me.**
