His eyebrows furrow together close
He keeps scribbling in his note book and ignores it
Equations cover the page and take him away
They help him ignore their repetitive bullshit
The dull ding donging of the lunch bell rings
Notebook in hand he disappears in a flash of black
If he were superhuman he could move just fast enough
Quick enough to be out of earshot of their verbal attack
Its not so much that he cares about what they think
To him they really don't matter that much at all
He knows he's smarter and that scares them
But he cant help but hate how they make him feel small
He knows they'll end up nowhere
Her a waitress, him a cop, and that one a trucker
And he knows that his equations will save him from this place
And one day he'll purchase and burn down this motherfucker
So he sits there away from them for now
None of the cools ones get stuck in Precal AP
So he sits and daydreams with his equations
Dreams of the places they'll take him and all he'll be
The day ends with the dull ding donging of the dismissal bell
So he packs up his stuff and shuffles out to his bus
They're there in the back thinking the same old thoughts
thoughts between "Whats wrong with him" and "Why doesnt he try to be like us?"
And his eyebrows furrow together close
As he scribbles in the notebooks and ignores it
Scribbles the equations that distract and will save him one day
And helps him to pretend not to hear their repetitive bullshit
