Stars in Winter

Outside the frosted window-pane
I can see the stars.
They seem so bright
in this endless night
and I wonder as I gaze;
do they stare down as we  look up?

Do they peer through their own icy windows,
in their own lonely streets?
Do they have feelings - broken hearts?
Do they miss someone
from whom they’re apart?

If you are standing alone in the snow
and watching these same stars.
I just want you to know
that I still love you.

Lol, you say heavily edited, but I can still see my old poem in there.I really like what you have done with it. I love that you turned my thoughts to the stars, so that they have a character too. I really like what you have done with this! My favorite part has to be:

    Do they miss someone
    from whom they’re apart?

Because its one of those things where, you are thinking it, but you say it about the other person, if that makes sense... anway, I really like what you did with my poem!
Good job, and thank you for entering in my contest!
