Winter Bare

Winter has withered me
Feelings buried in yesterdays snow
Sullen skies
Weathered with goodbyes

A sun that hides
behind monotone that abides
of what could have been
forgotten all

Winter bare
Not even a stare
All is cold
and without care

I will write
of spring
when this tide of loneliness
subsides

Time has moved forward and the wintering is near it's end soon I hope. This has a genuine lonely feel so indiscribable. Yet you have described it all too well. I hope and pray whatever darkness has hovered over you in writing this has passed or is close to it my friend. It's a painful read. Abet a moving one. Please let us see you smiling soon. LOL

indeed beautiful and sad - and so wonderfully written despite that sadness. I like the form of this and the ties to the season throughout the lines.

there is so much to like about this...

hope all is going ok in your world.
