Short but a very solidly done piece. It captures the emotion and leaves a solid imager and feeling within me. I love it when a short piece can captivate me and linger with me. Bravo!

Nice job! And I learned a new word! The use of linger made the poem work for me.

what on god's good earth is a pyrope? Oh well apparently it's a garnet. I feel like you should put that in the author's note lol such that the ignorant like myself don't have to go to dictionaries to find out. We ignorant pride ourselves on our laziness and general lackadaisy.
    Otherwise, short and simple--always classy.
