Sulking in sewing room
The feeling unfinished
Patterns unguided
Floral bolts unscrewed
Things I wish I had found a way to say
Times I was too proud to admit
I didn't know what to say
When you loved me
When I did confess
Not knowing what
to do
Maybe I should have
just listened
Let you stitch
the satin
to flannel
Author notes
Separation by W.S. Merwin
Your absence has gone through me
like a thread through a needle.
Everything I do is stitched with its color.

there is a strength in realizing something can be better, in ourselves, our relationships... one of the important lessons where pride can hinder happiness...realy enjoyed this one, thoughtful...PK

They say opposites attract and I love your 'satin and flannel', actually the whole poem is good, very good.
All the best in the contest.

Wether she is bitching or talking passionately from different perspective is up to me to choose. I did say listen...
And yes, I am an angel
Just like you -
