Dear Mr. President

Missing image
Dear Mr. President
Have a moment to spare?
You see I've got some issues
And the last one wasn't fair

You're the new one
Sitting in the waste
The last one messed up pretty bad
So many lives gone to this day

So I pray you're as good as you claim
I pray you understand the stakes in this game
Because it's not all it's cracked up to be
As Bush Jr, he'll tell you the same

Sickness of children all over in this world
People dieing for something they can not pay
Please be our savior in these dark days
You're the President of the United States

So many things can be solved
Don't you see
And if you're as good as you claim to be
Then by all means...let's bring peace.

Author notes

This is actually inspired by one of my favorite sexy rocken ladies, Pink, with her own song 'Dear Mr. President'. That song was basicly asking Bush..."WHY!?". This one, this poem, is asking Obama...to step it up, and bring peace.

I really enjoyed this! The only thing I would change is to try to keep the rhyme scheme consistent. Other than that, great job and thanks for entering!

    Well done

I like this, it is a good message. I hope for peace and compassion as well. We have had enough of fear, misunderstanding and so on.
