I know

I wish that I could see your face
Smiling from a higher place
I know that I don't have your heart
Your smile, your kiss, I can't erase

I know that I have done you wrong
You're better now, you've moved along
Yet I'm still here, just reminiscing

Singing my sweet, sad, lonely song

{Chorus} I know I made a big mistake

In causing you this deep heartache

I wish that I could take it back

I've caused you your love heart attack

Its cold inside my empty heart

I'm stuck again, back at the start

I wish I had someone like you

Can't keep myself from falling apart

{Chorus}

I know that if I had my way

I'd be with you right here today

Just can't accept you're really gone

I know that I have done you wrong...

{Chorus 2x}

I know...

I know...

I know...

I...

Know....

Author notes

This isn't about anyone in particular, but I've been told in the past that my poety had a nice flow and should be put to music. Well...I haven't got a tune or anything, but this is my first (and most likely ONLY) attempt at writing a song. Its not great, but I don't think its bad....so please give me some insight on what you think. Thanks! ♥Rhi

Honestly....is it bad?

    i love it. very lyrical. my brain actually started making a tune for it. but then again, everything you write is lyrical and graceful.

    Not Bad:)

    I like the way the words express raw emotion... You have a gift, Sweetie... and I am so proud to be your Aunt... I love you

    this is terrific! It really does flow perfectly, and I love the rhyming pattern. it creates these deep images in my mind and I can relate to it. This is such a good poem!
