With a firm hand you lifted me from my knees to stand before You,
while gently sliding your hands over my soft smooth skin.
My entite body trembled at your touch.
i wanted you,
i wanted to greedly devour You
as the praying mantis devours her suitor after the act...
only this was before and i wanted it to last for ever.
i felt as though i were watching the scene unfold from another demension...
wanted to fast farward,
and yet wanting to pause and savor each moment,
each stroke of your fingertips,
each brush of our lips.
How do I make this moment,
as our mouths meet for the first time,
last forever?
Kiss me slowly my sweet Prince,
slowly,
deeply,
passionately.
Hold me close and feel our spirits intertwine.
They have been kept apart far too long,
let them merge into one.
my soul is Yours Sir,
it has always belonged to You.
It's life's breath has whispered Your name throughout my life...
each relationship,
overshadowed by my one true love.
my body quivers,
my eyes close,
i am drowning in your essence.
Do not rescue me.

I thought it was a strange comparison, the praying mantis part. It expresses desire, and I know exactly the feeling, but all the same, bringing bugs in interrupts the passion. Very good poem, all the same
