This is lovely! I never saw this "short form" before. Learning something all the time about Haiku/Senryu. When I see this form I always start counting. So glad you tipped us off as to this new adaptation! Good take on the prompt. All the best in the Contest!

Can be a couple opposite reasons for that to be. Hopefully out of love felt. But being free to go seems as if there maybe no reason to stay. Silly,it's just me thinking. I'm thinking the first must be the case. Pardon my disection of this. It certainly does fit the "Valentine...or not" senerio quite well.
