Conquer his fears

In his arms there is warmth, like nobody knows.
In his smile there is happiness, that grows and grows.
In his laugh there is freedom, under all that is right.
But beneath this surface, there is more to shed light.

To many he is simple, there’s no mystery.
But to others that know him, there’s more than we see.

In his eyes there is fear, like a solider at war.
In his soul there is worry, from something before.
In his heart there is emptiness, like a whole in the sky.
There is something that lives in him, or something that dies.

There is a little boy, lost, frightened, afraid,
who wishes not to come home, after every school day.
Who wears bruises and scars under his shirt,
trying to hide what’s been done, how he’s been hurt.

There is an innocent child who’s seen too many things,
who hates God’s world, and all that it brings.
There is a tear that reaches far past his face,
into all the horrors of human’s deadly race.

Within him there is hatred from what has been done,
to him there is only moonlight, gone is the sun.
And his past we can’t undue, there’s nothing we can say,
but hope for his sun to rise the next day.

And though his life is dirtied, another’s is pure,
so those of us who know him, need to further explore.
Look deep at his wounds, his past, his fear,
and find another who shed’s his same tear.

Save that babe who cries without aid,
stop what is happening, let all his hurt fade.
Before he remembers like our friend who knows,
save him from the evils that his hunter bestows.

Let us join in a fight against all that is wrong,
reach out and save, who still has a song.
Let us find who needs help, and lend them our ears,
save those who need it, conquer their fears.
