[Incomplete]

Once upon a monday morning
I espied as day was dawning
Sunlight through my shuttered door
Obtrusive, e'er elusive through my chamber door

And as I lay there barely stiring
From that intrusion, stayed by turning
Lest a thought, a minor yearning
Yearning for the broken dawn

As the clock resumed it's pouring
Sunlit wings disturbed this snoring
Hoped it would not, could not be
The dawning of a brand new day

"Sun!" said I, "Sun why do you creep from yonder?"
Yet no reply beyond my door.
It simply crawled along my floor
Still encroaching, ever more

'Sun' said I, 'Sun of light and laughter'
'Get thee hence beyond my door!'
'I was lying, drab and dreary,'
'In my bed, was softly sleeping'
'And so gently you came creeping'
'Creeping cross my chamber floor'
And so silent, in replying, floats encroaching, ever more.

Then I the clock, resound with chiming,

Please tell me what you think

Oh! I hadn't realised I'd yet to finish this!
I wrote it on my DS on the train to a Burns night celebration.
      Thank you for the comment!
