Bird chimes and wind song
clutter the blustery summer night.
Leaves, tinted midnight blue
join me in my 4/4 waltz.
One step to much
and I've over-turned
the fortress of slumbering ants
causing them, too, to join
my un-antiquated dance.
And the magpies sing,
harmonies of bats,
and bass of owl,
howl of wolf
The sparkle of dew
illuminated by firefly twinkle
Spotlight of moonshine and whiskey.
How they turn me
into the star
of the one woman night show.

VERY nice imagery. I liked the twist at the end with the moonshine and whiskey
Great write!

harmonies of bats,
and bass of owl,
howl of wolf"
