I sometimes wish you saw what you’ve done.
I find myself dreaming of what we could be.
Each day, hoping that you’ll soon come.

But then I remember exactly what you did.
The way you treated me like I was your whore.
The way you’d leave me bleeding alone, in the cold
If ever you found me, dying on the floor.

Perhaps when we die, you’d have the nerve to say
You did it out of selfishness and greed.
But then, when the final day arrives,
You’d run away… to fulfil your cowardly need.

I HATE the way you treated me.
And yet… I fear it is you I love.

It would just speed up time
In which we would destroy
Through your lust and my lack of emotion,
We would soon fail to understand.
