What I have Seen

Not just a gangsta,
A protector,
so much love, he really cared.
he understood fear, he understood pain.
He had hugs that made me feel safe
and kisses that made the world go away.
Danger, his entirety said it.
muscles that rippled through his body with every move
The adrenaline rush he seemed to supply
in his eyes there was hope, fear, and love,
He had hair that was fiery like his temper
but still so truthful, so loving
he protected me
he risked it all, all the time
for me he put his life on the line
he loved so much and dropped so many lies,
and when he spoke it had meaning,
when he wrapped me up in his arms
and told me it was going to be ok
he made me believe it.

Author notes

I wrote this kinda as a pair to the "what you see poem"

    very nice.
    a gangsta savor.
we all have those few men in our life that take care of us.

and they all usually fit this poem. nice work.
