She fell to the ground
The knife still in her heart.
She couldn't take the pain.
How could he love another?
How could he just leave her
Lost and alone in heartbreak?
All she ever did was love him,
And the angels cried.
A thousand tears scattered to the wind,
Consumed by her barren heart.
Too many times she had been hurt.
And now love is gone,
Replaced by lust.
Hope is destroyed,
Taken by fear.
For as their shadows fell over her,
Her shadow shall fall over the world.
