Brilliant stars fly across the black blanket above us
While the green blanket bellow is trying to keep us warm
I close my eyes, listening to the acoustic song of the night
grasping your hand in mine firmly, knowing there's no place I'd rather be
I imagine the stars are singing, beaming, and bright.
in a high octave I will never reach
Then my body shifts as you pull me up, lightheaded
and dizzy I lean on you shoulder, a feel like a blind drunk
not able to open my eyes, and to dizzy to stand
but it doesn't matter, because in these arms I trust now and forever
I think he's trying to wake me I don't know
all I can hear is the cheerful lullaby of the stars echoing, releasing, resounding and rejoining again
"Shh..I'm listening to the stars" My eyes don't need to open to know he's smiling
I keep listening to authentic auditory array of music, letting it lull me to sleep.
But then I hear another sound, which only makes me sleepier
"Maybe When We're Gone Our Names Will Echo Through The Stars"
Maybe
Just Maybe
