Restless woman,

sipping white wine

green dress

 fits her so fine

long legs,

silk and lace

blond hair up

curls about her face.

fit and needing

tall graceful

oh so restless,

wanting wanting

sipping white wine,

what she can not have.

looking down

at that wedding band.

Home alone now,

Takes her hair down

slips into a soft gown,

sipping white wine.

crying silent tears

feeling so much

for a lover,

to satisfy her body

and her mind.

sipping white wine.

writing bad poetry

and going to bed.

OK, I don't wear a dress...but I want to know how you wrote this about me. I never told anyboby about it and yet...here it is. A sad tale indeed. Make you just want to give her a hug and make the hurt go away. Does white wine "go" with bad poetry? By the way...this ain't it! Keep up the good work.

Alcohol is the great palliative for sexual frustration. Doesn't stop you from being horney. Just makes it so you don't care.
    Nice poem.

oh I can not believe you used that word I burst out laughing.

  • This indeed is sad... and I wonder if it has it's base in fact...
I dig your rhythm and rhyme, as well as the classy feel to the poem.
Don't call it bad poetry. I have read plenty of bad poetry, and this isn't an example of it.

  • Sad and lovely.

"writing bad poetry and going to bed,"...great and funny way to end this! although, this is not by a long shot bad poetry! i enjoyed its mystery. she's looking at a wedding band but longing for a lover...interesting!

Wow! This is terrific! The yearning, the discontent, you've captured it all. I think this is one of my favorites.

You descibed the whole situation beautifully. The poem is a good psychoanalysis of the character you depicted. Very nice write indeed.

  • You haven't wasted a word in this lovely and lyrical poem that is very clear-cut and imagistic. Thanks for sharing your wonderful talents.

  • Love the...

Love the last lines, it adds so much humor to a beautiful and sort of sad poem. I love it, it's like this jerky reality check. The poem's sweet and talks of yearning and then its goes WHAM, the bitch wrote some hooooribble poetry and went to bed.
    Makes me laugh.
Its great, love the rhyme scheme as well.

  • Awesome...

Such passions flow, painting such suppressed sensuality in forbidden love...
Couldn't help but be touched by the yearning, heartfelt & honest nature of the piece...
    Keep up the good work...
    Well done!!!

  • Nice job. I hope this was purely from your imagination and not based on reality. Best of luck in the contest.

Very good. I was right there with her. I read her poem, had a better assessment of it then she did though.
You are one of a kind Rheea.
