Both stone and glass

Sand dunes shift with slow vibration,
bringing the desert alive with their slither;
back and forth, every sloshed slope a pause
that is of course never paused

...like this emotion. Without you,
like the fury of a sandstorm
hurtling countless grains against
the harp I play to distract myself.

What are grains of sand if not tiny
stones? And as I think, how are they
not like ideas, countless
stones flying, or glass, or both?

And if they are both stones and glass,
who is the thrower and what is the point?

The title of the poem refers to the grains of sand. Here's hoping nobody is confused by this!

    wow deep, meaningful, and beautifully put.....

    the way it begins and then the carry through of the idea is splendid... of course I did not see the picture... but describing grains of sand in your own original thoughts and instilling it with a soul like this .... this is brilliant... you know I am going to come back and read each and everyone of your poems... gonna bookmark you!!

    great job
