Eleven months of a relationship
Eighteen of a friendship
And six, six months
Since we went our separate ways
When we split up
I screamed and shouted
Telling you I hated you
But I cried, and I cried so hard
Even after all the phone calls
And all the random memories
All the times I laughed
And happily cried
Now it’s over
I seem to be struggling
Struggling to remember the good
Instead of the bad
And anytime
Your name’s mentioned
I smile this small timid smile
And my heart slows down remembering the pain
After everything we went through
I’d have predicted
My heart and my head would remember
The times we laughed instead of argued
And the times I was happy instead of sad.

This is a really lovely write. The pain can be bad but after that there's just amptiness for a lond time, so don't wish it away so quickly. Very sad and beautiful write. Thank you for the entry. xo

Losing your love is so hard to get through, but we all get through it. This is an awesome write so full of emotion and imagery. Amazing write keep up the great work.

Lost love is hard to live with at the best of times....This write has raw emotions and they really touched me... I love the imagery, and the feeling that you have here.

Aww, this makes me want to reach out and hug you. I know what this feels like, and I broke up with the guy when this happened. Loved him, but he was emotionally abusive at the same time... Time heals it, it may take a long long time though. Just keep your head up high. This was a great poem, although sad...

heart wrenching excellent write. time does heal but it does take a while. I have been there hun. its very hard. especially if you have to see that person sometimes or hear their voice. I wish you the best and again great job.
