The Voices Within

Lately my head has become quite crowded,
Voices shouting, some crying whilst others just laugh.
How do I know which voice is truly mine?

Is it the voice screaming "Failure"?
Is it the hysterical little brat so cocky and sure?
Or is it that weeping child who sits in the corner alone?

Some tell me I'm following the right path,
Whilst others call me a day dreaming fool.
How do I know what to believe?

Is it the voice saying "Stop! Go back!"?
Is it the endearing clumsy one who beckons me on?
Or is it the fearful nerd who wants to keep to himself?

These voices come from within me,
The deep inner regions of my mind their prison.
How do I control them?

Is it the old wise woman telling them to "Shush"?
Is it my evil twin telling them I'll commit unspeakable acts if they don't quiet down?
Or is it simply me telling them to go away? 

Author notes

Again this goes more in the insane/messed up category as it about all the thoughts that whirl around in my head and tring to figure out which thoughts are actually my own.

    I have waaaay too many voices in my own mined too hun lol, some kind, some benevolent and some just damnright annoying!
