Falling down drawn fist stairs, always falling
Concerned neighbours, silent vigil, ever watching
A shout, unwanted, further anger rises, great anger
No animal whimpers here, far from the mind,
Far from ragged mouth, full of shame.
Appearances must be kept, happy, happy appearances.
He loves her, he must, must, she loves him.
