A Forbidden Kiss

A bump in the road gently thrusts her closer to him. She opens her sleepy eyes and smiles when she sees his face turn toward hers. "Good morning, beautiful," he says while his eyes make their way back to the road. "Mmmm...", she sighed, "good morning, love." He leans sideways for a peck on the check and a surprise kiss on the lips. He tastes good to her, like honey and sex. She loves him, and he loves her.

Its two- thirty seven in the morning. Rachel Daughtry sits up in her bed dazed, and covered in sweat from head to toe. "Honey, is everything alright?" he askes her. "I'm... I'm fine." she stuttered, "just one of those dreams again." She turns her head toward his: the man that saved her life. Rachel smiled and said, "I'm so glad you're here." He wiped her tears and pulled her close to his chest. He held her so close. She could feel the warmth and protection of his muscular arms and his hot flesh though his thin t-shirt. He held her close to his heart, her head rests upon her chest. She loved when he held her like this. At times she even thought she just cried to have him hold her. He was so strong, so honest, so perfect.

Its been six weeks since they heard from anyone. Rachel and Tom had driven across the country to get away from it. She still heard the screams of the victims, burning alive. She still wondered how he slept so peacfully. Like nothing had ever happened and their lives were non-existant  two months ago. She envied him for being like that.

No one knows how the fires started. Tom was a fireman. He had spent four years in the Marines and always had Rachel to come home to. He loves her more than he thought he could have ever loved someone. And for the first time, he was afraid.
Three days of this random fire bursting from mid-air had everyone scared. These days he was lucky to even get sleep with thoughts of armaggedon threatening human existence. Tom found himself watching her, starring at her beauty. God did he love her. He never wanted this to end, but he knew it would soon. He could feel it. They would once again call on him. This time, he was afraid, he'd never return.

Tom hated those thoughts. Those thought were to be avoided. he promised to enjoy these last days as if they were truly it. He looks up at her stretching up through the beam of sunlight in the dusty motel room. She was still perfect, still his angel. How could he tell her. This was really happening. The only thing he cared enough about to rish his own life over was about to die. If only he had told her before, things might have been different.

Rachel yawned innocently and fell back into the plush mattress. Fresh brewed coffee smell filled the room as she heard the dripping of a most familiar morning ritual. Six-thirty am and room service was late. Today was very important to Rachel. New city, new job, fresh start. She had never felt so anxious to start a day. She lifted the comforter off of her and climbed out of bed. It was a beautiful fall day, and he air was warm and somber. A few stars still dangled in the sky while the sun was peeking up over the horizon. This day was going to change her life. She could feel it. And after her first day as a Doctor of Medicine at the Hartsford University of Cardiovascular Medicine, she was to arrive at the airport at seven thirty pm exactly. He was coming to see her. It had felt like so long, but he was finally here!

Flames engulf them as the explosion blows the car into the air. Aching and exhausted, he climbs out of the crushed metal cave. Bombs ringing in his ears reminded him of the war. This was war. But she couldnt see. A whole world where this one perfect being was unable to see. He was relieved that she couldnt. that kept her safe. Thats probably the only reason why he hadnt shown her yet. He loved her too much. He lays heavily on the sidewalk behin rubble and garbage where to eyes he is hidden. They would look for him eventually, but for now he had some time. he didnt want to do this alone. he couldnt. he needed her. if she really loves him she will do this, and only with her can he have a chance to survive.

There was only twenty minutes left until the limousine pulls in. She touches up her make-up and checks over herself in the mirror one last time. "Perfect," she thought, "just like him." She knew he was enxious to see her. She wanted him to be. SHe wanted him to yearn for her in ways she didnt dare speak of. Emotion filled throught her as her flesh became hot with anticipation for passion. Ten minutes left.
She moans softly as she touches her aching desire though the flattering silk dress that lays sleek over her tone body. If only she could have him now, oh it was unbearable, and she touched a little more and more.
The door opens slightly, "Miss, the driver is here."
"Alright, I'll be right down," she quickly utters trying to pull herself back together.
It had been too long since their last encouter, and she was craving him.

He had shaved the night before, so a late five o'clock shadow had been sneaking up on the tired looking business man. Meeting after meeting had the fireman wanting a cold beer and a long nap on the couch. Or a fine woman waiting for him to come home. She was always there for him. Oh God it had been too long. He was estatic to see her again and couldnt wait for the plane to land. He couldnt believe this was happening. After sixteen months he would finally be able to live again. He really thought he wouldnt be coming back this time. He once had saved a damsel in distress, but that same damsel saved him from distress, and without his guardian angel, he would not be walking this Earth. He nodded off to sleep awaiting the landind of his flight.
