I hold her by my side,
not wishing to let go
her death is slow.
The smile on her face,
still deep in my mind
As though, taking me into another life
where,everything was fine and easy go.
There were the woods we trekked,
and the hills we climbed.
There were the laughs,
and the occasional cry.
The sweet smell of rose,
when she arrived.
Now as she's dying,
nothing remains alive.
As,she was the life within me,
the guardian of my soul.
She has her eyes fixed upon me,
I am unable to blink
fearing;i will lose her in that time.
The smile still etched on her face,
she looks like a painting
and i am still waiting
for a miracle to happen.
But,Alas! There's a change in her expression,
she has turned pale.
I take her face into my hands
and as i breathe,
I wish i could accompany
her as an eternal wreath...

The anguish written here is truely heartfelt. It is very hard to loose a loved one, but a child is one of the hardest to bare. I'm a firm believer that a parent should never out live their children. Prayers to you
This is very good, but I think would read easier if it were broken into seperate stanzas where each thought patteren changes. It's just an observation.
