Pencil Bob;
How I wish that my life were as simple as yours. You and your friends and family, you have so few categories. 2B, 4B, 6B, HB and even a few more. But there are few enough to make life bearable.
You and the others like you, you stick together.
But how does it feel to know that the label 'copperplate' makes no difference when it comes to sharpening you and getting rid of an extra few millimeters, or that the fact that you're made out of extra strong wood means nothing if I were to try to break you.
You're vulnerable.
You enjoyed being different, but in the end
you're
just
like
me.
Sincerely and with the utmost respect,
Rubber Susie
Author notes
An Apostrophe. Hope it's suitable.
Yes, I do name some of my pencils. And if it makes you feel better, I'll name one of my rubbers Susie.
