Find That Need

as I was walking
through the cold
on a January day
I remembered that life was good
for all the promises
I had made to myself
I've found that
time reminded one of
eternity
where one needs to live
irregardless of the consequences
one has only one life
and that life
one needs not to waste it
find that need
that drives you
and go for broke.

    i enjoyed this read as for me personally its an opinion i to have, it was a simple and elegant piece, the flow was smooth and solid throughout

    Excellent - it's my philosophy for sure

    but you may have to be one to appreciate it, and not many are - Read my poem Oh Thoughts- http://allpoetry.com/poem/3239956 - and you will see what I mean - Realistically most of the truly great poets felt this way and followed the untrodden paths right up to the end and on their final look back saw that their path sparkled and shined and the other paths that they might have taken all led to the same overflowing trash heap. Your style is simple and wonderful, Kudos in the highest to you - billpoet
