So many memories, I wish to recall
If I had my choice, I wouldn't be torn
Because, if I try to list them all
The very first one is the day I was born
I wish I could know of how the air felt
Outside of my mom, it must have been cold
But I bet I won't have this knowledge dealt
Until years ahead, when I've grown old
I wish I could think back to the first light
Oh, how bright my new world must have seemed
But like every day, plunged into night
It's like past times are just faded, dreamed
I wish I could remember my first breath
Oh, how sweet the air must have tasted
But just until I breath into my death
Thinking of such things will be wasted
Maybe once I've moved past this life
These memories will keep me company
Author notes
Inspired by the quote: "Oh God ! I wish, I could remember the first day of my life ...Unknown."
I have actually thought about this idea some all ready, so it made writing my piece a little easier.
