Everyone wants to see you
Become the enemy
No one is waiting
For your chance to prove yourself
...They don't want you
To ever pass go
But you can prove them wrong
You have proven before how conniving you can be
Shown darker hues than what's hiding underneath
Your cold outer shell hides such a benevolent spirit
But you know it's too soft to let a soul near it
Of course on your throne, you've crossed your arms
Staring down
To hide the pure being that tries to change the world
You have to smirk to hide your bleeding heart
Have to crave love a bit longer to accomplish your goal
You'll die alone without anyone ever knowing your sacrifice
But in the end, everyone will be better for it
Everyone watches you
Become the enemy
No one's been waiting
For your chance to prove yourself
But you don't need to prove them wrong
Every bullet you've taken has shown
How conniving you can be
Every smirk hidden bright colors
Than what's hiding underneath
And when they stabbed you through the heart
Chuckling over your bleeding body
The tears you shed were not
For you
You cried in happiness
Your death accomplished your truest goal
And all the world was better for it.
Author notes
Wrote the poem, it reminded me of Code Geass, so I named it Lelouche.
On another note, I found some videos of my grandfather reciting poetry on YouTube. That was pretty cool. Dark People, yo!
