Glistening skies of dazzling hues
sing in violet splendor,
as golden accents of enchantment
cast a visionary feast
Arizona plains unveil majestic glory
amidst a stampede of gallant Mustang,
as they stream along an open prairie
in a cloud of mystic fury
Like nomads they drift from place to place
without chains of confinement,
entwined in the bewitching dance of life
These godlike creatures of the earth
born of artistic beauty,
commune like high fashion models
on a Paris strip
Adorned with a furry mane that
align the silhouette of their regal features,
with captivating eyes that peer into the soul
Silky hides birthed in rich earthen tones
dress Zeus like figures,
granting these celestial beast with a
prominent stature of grandeur
As they prance upon Gods terrestial
resting place in angelic form,
touched by the opiate nature
of a carefree existence
In a realm sanctified from human infraction

I have also visited the beautiful Arizona myself and it is quite the splendor!!! I saw the red Sedona Mountains and also saw Scottsdale and Phoenix as well...Very Hot, but very beautiful.You have brilliantly displayed the beauty of Arizona in your exquisite piece of poetry here!!! this is how all horses should be remembered. the healing power of their gaze, grace and natural beauty. i think the second stanza is my favorite. thank you for sharing makes me want to go watch my own horses running and playing in their own way.
