Open your mind

Open your mind
To the things that haunt you dear
Those little memories that cause so much fear
And so know that will be blown all away
Spring is here
To embrace you with a warm breeze
And so know that love is back again
It will always keep you near
Open your eyes wide
To see the shadows in your days
But the sun will shine on you dear
To cast them out and fill you with hope again

Your poem wisely advises us to confront "the shadows" in our lives as acknowledgement of our darknesses is the key to acceptance of them. Ony then can spring cleanse and purify us of our ills. I read your homepage with interest. I wish for only good things for you in the future. Tony

I really like this poem, It flows very well and you didn't force it to rhyme which i think is a good thing because it sounds better this way.

"And so know that love is back again
It will always keep you near"
I think this lines sticks out the most to me, but the whole poem is really good.....Keep it up!

    gorgeous

i love this poem, it really shines with a feeling of comfort and love.
it almost sounds as though some is talking soothingly.

it reads so smoothly and the line lengths help to make the soothing feeling really come out at the reader.

    i especially adore this line:
"But the sun will shine on you dear.."

Your title works well as it leaves a little mystery as to the full content of the poem and as to the subject of the peice.

Over all this is a beautiful and delicate write, and is very well written.

    keep writing!
