I see you

As I set here with all the family
with this feeling of being all alone
I look into the eyes of our family
and realize neither of you are really gone.

I see you in Betty Sue's joyous laughter
I see you in Sissy's bright and warming smile
I see you in Dora Lois' cheerful loving eyes
they are the ones that makes life worthwhile.

I see you in Bunk's devoted gestures
I see you in James Ray's sacred embrace
I see you in William's exquisite cleverness
and in Paul's generous acts of grace.

So when the feeling of loneliness
seems to overcome our soul
we can look into their eyes
everything of you they hold.

My name is Lois and this poem is in memory of my mother and grandmother. The names in the poem are my mom's brother and sisters which remind me a great deal of her and my grandma

    Beautiful & True

What a BEAUTIFUL inspiring write! I lost my Grandma 6 years ago and my Dad 2 yrs ago. Very very difficult. Just recently I have been able to let the pain and hurt go. I know that they are in a far better place and no longer suffering. And they will ALWAYS live on through everyone's lives they have touched. You can see it and feel it and hear it in each and everyone of my family; including me! My son is amazing about bringing them to life when he says remember how Grandpa Jim... or Remember when Great Grandma... Their stories and their memories will live on forever! I can see one day when my son will be telling his children about them and them to their children.
I wish you for you happiness and peace.
    Many blessings *stomps

This poem was well written. It was quite touching as well. I agree with you too on this. Whenever we lose someone they never cease to exist either within someone else or simply within our hearts. Great write.
