A glimpse of you across the room
I smelt the scent of your perfume
I didn't need to seek you here
Because you were already near
Somewhere in this lonely world
Curses spat and insults hurled
They cannot harm me, you're around
A perfect love that I have found
One sided is this love affair
I want to pull out all my hair
Leaps and bounds across the room
Your approach the harbinger of my doom
Of all its only you I see
A furious struggle to disagree
My heart a flutter yet once more
But I need to exit through that door
I need to keep avoiding you
Though the feelings in my heart stays true
To break the spell you cast on me
For while it lasts I won't be free
Please tell me what you think

"Of all it's only...through that door"
this stanza gets me - in a good way -
its like loving a fear, or something like that anyway.
I feel that you know its dangerous ground your heading into but the intrique and adrenilen sorta take over and you go anyway.
nice write
ps excuse the spelling never a great point.

Thanks for the lovely comment my dear.
Yes you quite got that stanza down... it is quite what I am feeling at the moment.
Keep well

Nice flow! Reads smoothly, great images and emotion in this.
Easy to picture, too - the 'obsessive' one-sided love affair that ties one up in knots...lol
Nicely done! I enjoyed this.
best wishes

Thanks so much for your lovely comment. It is quite true what you said about the "obsessive" one-sided affair....
If only we didn't make things so difficult for ourselves....
Thanks for reading
