Dear Father,

"Wake up darlin',you are a new life..."
spoken words of truth as I opened my eyes
You told me I was the best thing ever
like a tree with only one clover

I wiggled in your arms,you were clutching me warm
I was a baby, an infant,and I drooled on your arm

you laughed at my uneasiness daddy..you made me smile
being in your arms seemed so worthwhile

"Look dear,she's walking "
I heard you say that time
I don't remember recalling memories
but this certainly rings a chime

"*Sniff* its her first day of school,you think she'll be okay??"
I heard mom ask you ...but you left nothing more to say

'" You are not going to that party !!!!"
I disliked you for screaming aloud
I was a teenager,so what?
you thought I was too proud..

"Goodbye dear,take care of yourself"
I was married,to this amazing guy
you knew I would be okay..
but you were afraid ..you began to cry

"Daddy,you're a grandpa!!....
aren't you delighted ?
its a girl,a beautiful one!!!!"
..I screamed into the phone I had lifted

you came running to me,clutched me warm,
I was married but I still drooled on your arm.
